FlexWork - New Ways of Working, 2001-2003
Are you a business advisor, business support agency, regional agency or business network ? If so, and you are in a rural region of Europe, or in a region where regeneration is high on the agenda, then FlexWork could help you to support your local businesses in competing through flexible working.

What is Flexible Working?
Flexible working is being able to work with customers, suppliers and employees independently of distance and time barriers. You can overcome the problems of isolation in rural and remote regions through effective use and management of the latest computer and telecommunications methods. Flexible working can enable companies, wherever they are located, to be competitive with companies anywhere in Europe.

What does the project offer?

Seminars and conference presentations at your own regional conferences and workshops.
Handbook of Flexible Working with advice on how to overcome the problems faced by small companies.
Guides to Flexible Working including checklists and case studies to guide you and your clients in implementing flexible working.
Management Briefings covering a wide range of flexible working topics relevant to Regional Development Agencies and regional Internet Service Providers.

What are FLEXWORK publications for ?

The  publications aimed to help advisors give practical guidance to small companies on how to adopt new ways of flexible working (handbook, case studies, blueprints, other tools, etc.)

What is MONA's role in the project?

MONA joined the project to make flexible working options (including telework) wellknown in Hungary. MONA translated the handbook, the blueprints and some other selected FlexWork materials into Hungarian and held six workshops in different regions of the country.
MONA's special target group was women-owned SMEs and women consultants.
