The program prepares young women for a leadership role in the different sectors of the society and builds an inter-sectoral network for cooperation in three regions of Hungary. Through the training program 150 young women, aged between 20 and 40 years, is being trained in a series of complex leadership skills and will be empowered to play an even larger role in political, economic and civil development in Hungary. The training helps women in leadership positions and potential political candidates improve their assertivity, professional competency, leadership potential and management skills. The participants will also become a member of a network for further co-operation preparing replication and extension of the project, including community development programs for rural communities, based on women's co-operation. They were also trained in the ability to train others in these skills-sets, perpetuating the learning and outcomes after the program period.
The project builds a network of young women leaders in business, public service and NGOs who are trained in the skills needed to participate in local and regional decision-making. The aim of the network is to build consensus-based policies within their organizations and communities, and to construct networks in support of their goals. |
