The goals of the network: - to provide a permanent structure for cooperation to support associations and bodies which are engaged in various European countries for the promotion of gender equality in various fields of economic and social life;
- to strengthen the capacity of member associations to give impetus to the implementation of the European Union policies relating to the promotion of equal opportunities between men and women at national and local levels;
- to promote and support the role of member associations in order to enact the European Union policies and implement equal opportunities for all at national level;
- to support and develop the capacity of member associations, especially those in the new member countries, to prevent and combat violations of women’s rights caused by inequality, gender discrimination, and social exclusion;
- to inform the public institutions and entities working towards equality of European policies and issues in the field of gender equality;
- to promote dialogue and cooperation between different players (public institutions, associations, social partners) involved in the promotion of gender equality and in the fight against discrimination in order to implement joint and multidisciplinary actions;
- to implement public rejection of discrimination and violence against women through the promotion of a culture of respect for the principle of equality.
